Bruce KirkbyA wilderness writer and adventure photographer, Bruce is recognized for connecting wild places with contemporary issues.
A columnist for The Globe and Mail, author of two bestselling books, and a multi-National Magazine Award winner, Bruce’s writing has appeared in The New York Times, EnRoute, Huffington Post, Explore and Canadian Geographic.
With journeys spanning more than 80 countries and 2000 days, Bruce makes his home in Kimberley, B.C.
Jodi McDonaldJodi McDonald is the President & Founder of Keystone Labs Inc., Keystone Labs was incorporated in 2005 and in August 2015, acquired a Health Canada controlled substance license to conduct cannabis testing. Jodi has a background in clinical and microbiology sciences and her passion is bridging the gap between analytical and microbial sciences and the medical cannabis industry to help improve the quality of medicinal cannabis products being used by patients.
Karina LahnakoskiWith 20 years experience in regulated industries, Karina’s career has focused on compliance, quality assurance and PM. She is VP of Quality & Regulatory Operations at CCI, where she brings full services to the Cannabis industry including Cannabis Act Licensing, Edibles Processing, Auditing, NHP, Cultivation and Security.
Karina came from a bio/pharmaceutical and medical device background and she holds an MBA and B.Sc in biochemistry.
Chris StoneThe Director of Quality, RPIC & Quality Assurance Person at Vancouver Island-based licensed cultivator and processor, Broken Coast Cannabis, Chris has been working closely with Health Canada under the various cannabis regulations since 2014.
Previously, Chris earned a bachelors in Microbiology from UVic, and has worked for many years in quality and regulatory affairs for production of prescription drugs and controlled substances, natural health products, food, and biotechnology products.
Stephanie SteevesDirector of Quality Assurance with Organigram, passionately responsible for quality assurance and regulatory compliance management.
Proudly joined Organigram in 2013 during the licensing application stage as the QAP under the MMPR, carrying 12 years of diverse QA experience from large scale food and beer industries into the cannabis space.
Energetically developed and implemented regulatory and quality management to support compliance and business excellence through unprecedented industry growth.
Daryl GraysonA 17-year professional in IT and consulting with extensive experience in project delivery and account management; Daryl was international practice manager and lead at IBM, Skura and Deloitte. At C15, Daryl is VP of Professional Services and is responsible for configuring our software not just for The Cannabis Act, but for our individual customer's needs as well.
Priyanka MehraWith more than a decade of experience in food science and technology, she is currently the QA Manager for Aqualitas. Priyanka has compliance experience in the cannabis industry as QA Manager under the former ACMPR and expertise in quality control in cannabis, food processing, and agricultural environments. Developing, implementing and managing procedures and protocols to ensure the company’s practices and products are of the highest quality and is team lead for our EU GMP certification.
Benilda SableBenilda Sable
Benil is part of the executive team of RavenQuest Global Biomed (RQB) and leads compliance and quality assurance for cannabis and hemp. RQB is a diversified publicly traded cannabis company with divisions focused on cannabis production, management services and consulting, research and development, and strategic partnerships with indigenous peoples. Benil has a decade of experience in compliance and quality assurance and has worked both in the private and government sector.
Olga JanekOlga comes to the cannabis industry with over 20 years Quality Assurance background in Pharma, OTC and Natural Health Products and is well versed in working in a Health Canada regulated environment. Olga holds an Hon. BSc degree from the University of Western Ontario and a Diploma of Medical Laboratory Technology. She currently holds the role of Manager Compliance and Regulatory Affairs at Aphria Inc. in Leamington, ON.
Steven LundSteven is Director of Quality Assurance and QAP for Tantalus Labs in BC. He brings 6 years of QA consulting and directorship in the Canadian cannabis industry.
Prior to moving into cannabis quality, Steven's career focused over 25 years on plant molecular biology and genomics R&D, including a faculty position at UBC.
Steven will cover fostering a culture of quality at Tantalus Labs and enhancing customer satisfaction with their products.
